Question by buttersfan18:
why can some animals bond with humans while others cant?
things like dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and even some types of lizards can bond with people but other less domesticated or sophisticated animals cant. what part of the brain allows them to bond or know they can bond or be safe without feeling threatened? i know some animals may just associate their human with food while others see them as a companion or part of their "pack" [depending on animal]. how does it all work?
and why are there some people that animals like and take to right away while other people tend to have more animals dislike them?

The animal may not trust the human and therefore is always on edge and cautious.
Others may have a natural instinct to be distant animals to protect themselves :)
Hope this helps
