Smart Children–Poor Readers: Using Audio/Text-Based Learning for Reading, Comprehension and Language Development
Smart Children--Poor Readers: Using Audio/Text-Based Learning for Reading, Comprehension and Language Development

A mini-ebook based on a paper by the same name. The book covers the process of using audio/text based learning to help kids (and adults) learn to read better. It also covers a process for using audio/text-based learning to learn one or more additional languages. A section talks about why the use of audio/text-based learning can help kids (and adults) learn to better listen, focus, comprehend and ultimately learn and why we should be using the techniques in our multi-media world. Also covered are access points to materials (like users manuals for toys and games) for bilingual education.
This is a very short e-book--the equivalent of approximately eight 5.5 x 8.5 in pages. The text was (hopefully) written so it is clear, concise and easy to understand in terms of application.
The original paper(s) was written to prevent children and adults from being locked out of learning and to give adults who didn't learn to read well in school an avenue whereby they themselves can help themselves learn, if they so choose.
