Question by scoped22: Has anyone ever heard of a recipe including chick peas in vinegar?

My mom when i was a child used to make this bowl for me just simple chick peas in a bunch of vinegar and usually salt+ pepper added. I love vinegar and chick peas just goes along with it well served cold(i dont think many other people wil like it). I'm wondering if this is an actually recipe to some dish that i've never heard of.

Yes ....you may add to the dish your mom made: in the same bowl you may add cut up tomatoes, pieces of cucumber, some red or white onion, and a little salad oil, and chill it in the fridge if you wish; in any case, leave it for a little while so the flavors ripen

To serve it, put some lettuce of some sort, or even raw baby spinach leaves on a dish, put the vegetable salad you have made on top of the greens and serve with a nice hot buttery paratha stuffed with a little paneer ....
